Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating CO2 laser cutting or engraving machinery in a manufacturing environment.
- Basic understanding of technical drawings and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain high levels of accuracy.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification or formal training in laser operation or manufacturing technology.
- Experience with CNC programming or related computer-aided manufacturing software.
- Familiarity with various materials such as metals, plastics, and composites used in laser cutting.
- Previous experience working in a high-volume production setting.
- Basic mechanical skills for troubleshooting and minor equipment repairs.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CO2 laser cutting and engraving machines according to job specifications and safety protocols.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine laser cutting parameters and material requirements.
- Monitor machine performance during operation, making adjustments as necessary to maintain precision and quality.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of laser equipment to ensure optimal functionality and longevity.
- Inspect finished products for defects or deviations and document production data accurately.
- Collaborate with production supervisors and engineers to resolve technical issues and improve processes.
- Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
