The Behavioral Health Internship & Professional Development Coordinator plays a critical role in building, managing, and sustaining CNHF’s behavioral health workforce pipeline while ensuring clinical training, documentation, supervision, and professional development activities align with regulatory, compliance, and organizational standards.
SUMMARY:
Central Neighborhood Christian Health Clinics is seeking a Healthcare Data Analyst to support data-driven decision making across clinical, operational, and financial departments. This position is responsible for extracting, transforming, analyzing, and visualizing data from the IMS EMR and other organizational systems to support regulatory reporting, quality improvement initiatives, value-based care, and executive leadership reporting.
This role serves as the bridge between IT, Clinical Operations, Finance, Quality, and Executive Leadership.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following functions:
Data Extraction and SQL Development
- Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries against IMS EMR databases.
- Develop reporting views, stored procedures, and automated data pulls.
- Validate and reconcile data across systems.
- Ensure accuracy of clinical and operational metrics.
Business Intelligence & Dashboard Development
- Design and maintain interactive dashboards in Power BI and/or Tableau.
- Develop executive KPI dashboards.
- Automate recurring operational and compliance reports.
- Translate complex datasets into clear visual insights.
Regulatory & Quality Reporting
- Support UDS reporting and HRSA compliance requirements.
- Assist with HEDIS, Medi-Cal, Medicare Advantage, and value-based care metrics.
- Prepare data for audits, site visits, and external reporting.
- Support residency and program performance reporting as needed.
Data Governance & Compliance
- Ensure HIPAA-compliant handling of PHI.
- Maintain data dictionaries and documentation of reporting logic.
- Collaborate with IT to maintain secure data access controls.
- Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or related field.
- 3+ years of healthcare data analytics experience.
- Proficiency in SQL Server or comparable relational database systems for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
- Experience with Power BI, including data modeling and advanced DAX calculations.
- Expertise in developing interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau.
- Experience working with an EMR system.
- Strong understanding of healthcare performance metrics.
- Ability to translate data into actionable operational insight.
- Experience with IMS EMR.
- Experience in FQHC or community health setting.
- Knowledge of UDS reporting.
- Experience supporting value-based payment models.
- Familiarity with Medi-Cal and Medicare Advantage reporting.
NECESSARY SKILLS:
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools.
- Experience with data validation and reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy and integrity of reporting.
- Strong analytical thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and identify meaningful trends.
- Highly detail-oriented with a commitment to data accuracy and quality.
- Strong cross-department communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across clinical and operational teams.
- Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable operational insights for diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
