About this position
Main Purpose:
This Electrical Supervisor plays a key role in the electrical integration of high-voltage commercial-grade systems in custom enclosures while ensuring compliance with the National Electric Code (NEC) and local electrical requirements. This role is also responsible for leading and mentoring Electricians.
Essential Functions:
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams and schematics with precision
- Ensure that all conduit is bent and installed effectively and safely
- Apply knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC) including wire sizing, conduit runs and electrical loads
- Pull wire and wire circuits, including 4-way switch configurations
- Work with 208V and 480V electrical panels
- Integrate transformers and connect 3-phase motors
- Perform continuity testing and other quality control tests on electrical systems
- Assist with power distribution and ensure proper grounding and circuit protection
- Diagnose electrical malfunctions and make necessary repairs or replacements
- Accurately use a tape measure for fabrication and layout tasks
- Follow written and verbal work instructions with attention to detail
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance and installations
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment
- Demonstrate flexibility to support other departments or tasks as needed
- Lead and mentor a group of Electricians, ensuring compliance with all electrical codes and requirements and adherence to all safety policies
- Perform other duties assigned by supervisor

Job Requirements:
- 5+ years experience in electrical installation in a related manufacturing, industrial or construction setting
- Louisiana or local Journeyman Electrician Certification
- Experience with PLCs, motor controls and automation systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams and blueprints
- Proven ability to work independently and lead by example in a team setting
- Strong understanding of electrical codes (NEC), safety procedures and troubleshooting practices
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and physical
- Must be able to pass a background check
Desirable Experience, Education and Training:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Tools, Equipment and Technology:
- Electrical systems, wiring and equipment
- Blueprints, schematics and electrical diagrams
- PLCs, control panels, motors etc.
Environmental Conditions:
80 to 90% of the work activities are performed outdoors. Individuals will be required to work in changes of temperature, hot, cold, humid, wet and dry conditions, dust, mud etc. They will also be exposed to paint thinner and paint fumes.
