Job Summary:
The Warehouse Manager will Control and manage logistics warehouse operations including the receiving, storage, and loading of materials, finished goods, dunnage, and other material required to support the business. Ensure route trucks are accurately loaded and positioned to support route sales, as well as prepare bulk orders, and deliver product to bulk accounts in accordance with distribution plan. The Warehouse Manager will also be responsible for direct spending (labor/materials) to responsibly manage budgets associated with warehouse activity and delivery of product.
Essential Job Functions:
- This position is considered safety sensitive due to the required operation of forklifts, pallet jacks and other heavy machinery. Safe operation requires a constant state of alertness and awareness of the surroundings at all times
- Attract, retain, and develop effective Warehouse Associates to ensure an efficient, motivated, and skilled workforce
- Assign duties and tasks to Warehouse Associates as appropriate and establish performance criteria
- Review job performance and coach as necessary
- Train Warehouse Associates in proper safety procedures, forklift driver licensing and accident reviews
- Screen, interview, and hire new Warehouse Associates
- Maintain spending within budget guidelines to support overall financial targets and responsibly employ company resources
- Manage and control Warehouse Inventory to keep shrink and customer service levels within standards
- Monitor product inventory levels and available sales/production/transportation data to ensure product is available when/where needed to support sales activity
- Ensure the maintenance and security of Warehouse and grounds
- Perform various duties as assigned
Job Qualifications:
- Accredited High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Forklift License Preferred
- Experience with Inventory Control
- 5+ years Warehouse experience preferred
- 5+ years Management experience preferred
- Excellent Organizational Skills
- Excellent written and verbal Skills
- Strong Computer Skills (Microsoft Office)
- Must be willing and able to occasionally lift up to 55 pounds, push, pull, stand, squat, bend and reach
- Must maintain a neat uniform and professional appearance
- Ability to withstand exposure to limited climate control within the facilities
- Fast paced and continually changing environment
