POSITION SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading and overseeing the daily maintenance operations of the facility. This role ensures all equipment, systems, and infrastructure operate safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime. The Maintenance Supervisor provides hands-on technical support while supervising maintenance technicians, coordinating preventive maintenance programs, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to support operational excellence.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership & Oversight
- Supervise, schedule, and support maintenance technicians to ensuretimelycompletion of preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Provide training, coaching, and performance management to maintenance team members.
- Prioritize work orders and assign tasks based on operational needs and production schedules.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards.
Maintenance Operations
- Oversee and participate in routine preventive maintenance on facility equipment and systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, PLC, HVAC, and automation issues.
- Ensure proper repair or replacement of malfunctioning equipment and components.
- Conduct and oversee electrical system testing, including continuity checks and wiring inspections.
- Manage general facility repairs including plumbing, carpentry, welding, fabrication (metal/plastic), and light construction.
- Support emergency maintenance during equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
- Review and ensure completion of daily pre-operational equipment inspections.
Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service records, and repair documentation.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and facility sanitation requirements.
- Coordinate with operations leadership to align maintenance activities with production demands.
- Assist with vendor coordination and external service providers as needed.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of maintenance experience in warehouse, food distribution, manufacturing, or industrial environments.
- 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of PLC systems, hydraulics, electrical systems, andHVAC, plumbing &automation equipment.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues independently.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbsand perform physical activity including standing, bending, climbing, and kneeling.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Technical certification in HVAC, Refrigeration, Building Maintenance Technology, or related field preferred.
- Availability to respond to after-hours calls, including evenings and weekends as operational needs require, and report onsite to perform necessary repairs.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
