Position Summary
As a Manufacturing Associate in the Patch Department specializing in building GFRC (Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete) fireplaces, you are integral to ensuring the quality and aesthetics of our finished products. Your main responsibility is to meticulously inspect, repair, and patch any imperfections or irregularities in GFRC fireplaces during the manufacturing process. This involves applying GFRC patching materials to correct surface defects, such as air voids, pinholes, or surface blemishes, to achieve a smooth and flawless finish. You will work closely with the production team to prioritize tasks, meet quality standards, and ensure timely completion of fireplace units. Additionally, you will maintain accurate documentation of patching activities and collaborate with supervisors to implement continuous improvement initiatives. Your attention to detail, craftsmanship, and commitment to producing high-quality GFRC fireplaces will contribute to the overall success of our manufacturing operations.
Essential Functions
- Patch Production: Execute patch manufacturing processes with precision and care, adhering to established quality standards and specifications
- Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough inspections of patches at various stages of production to identify any defects or inconsistencies. Take proactive measures to address issues and maintain product integrity
- Craftsmanship: Demonstrate exceptional craftsmanship in all aspects of patch production, including cutting, stitching, and finishing, to consistently deliver superior-quality patches
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe and productive work environment
- Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to optimize production processes, troubleshoot problems, and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Documentation: Accurately record production data, inspection results, and any relevant information to maintain comprehensive records and facilitate traceability
- Possess meticulous attention to detail and a strong focus on quality to consistently produce flawless patches
- Demonstrate excellent craftsmanship and proficiency in patch manufacturing techniques, including finishing
- Prioritize quality in every aspect of work, ensuring that all patches meet or exceed customer expectations and industry standards
- Work effectively as part of a team, communicating openly and collaborating with colleagues to achieve common goals
- Thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, adapting quickly to changing priorities and demands

Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must have 1-2 years’ manufacturing environment experience
- Knowledge of commonly used industry concepts, practices, and procedures preferred
- Must have ability to use basic tools; read a tape measurer and follow detailed work instructions
