In this role you will perform duties associated with providing top tier customer service while being an integral member of the dispatch team. You will provide assistance by monitoring several systems while taking calls and dispatching ambulances as needed.

Reports To: Deputy Communications Center Director

Basic Job Requirements:

Education/Training/Experience

  • Minimum of either a high school diploma or GED
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Must attend EMD training course (if applicant does not have certification)
  • Must attend CPR certification course (if applicant does not have certification)

Essential Job Duties:

  • Work and communicate with all co-workers
  • Dispatch ambulance crews as appropriate
  • Ensure that EMS calls are dispatched in a timely manner
  • Answer incoming calls from clients
  • Work with billing office staff and ambulance crews to ensure proper trip completion

Maintain compliance with HIPAA privacy laws, Bell Ambulance policies, and exercise discretion with sensitive information
