DescriptionThe Pharmacy Technician is often the first representative of pharmacy to our patients and plays a key role in ensuring our patients have a welcoming and productive visit or call. In this role, the Pharmacy Technician must provide the highest level of customer service, actively working to help the patient in a warm, helpful, and empathetic manner. They are also accountable for important administrative, prescription filling, cashiering and clerical functions to support the pharmacy team, optimize patient visit quality, and keep our patient records accurate and current.
Responsibilities
- Accurately rings out patients.
- Consistently maintains patient database.
- Perform schedule maintenance.
- Accurately perform sign up administration for manufacture supplied Indigent medications.
- Perform prescription inputting, billing and rebilling process.
- Maintain pharmacy area clean, neat and organized to ensure efficient customer service.
- Efficiently maintains medication stock.
- Accurately maintains register and cash box cash amounts.
- Job duties require specific knowledge and training in pharmacy operations typically acquired during completion of a (certificate or license program) in Pharmacy Technician training with the duration of up to a year.
- Ability to read and speak Spanish is required.
- Must have obtained Pharmacy Technician licensure with the State of Washington.
- Must have reliable transportation and provide documentation of auto insurance and valid driver's license as required.
- Travel between work sites is required as needed.
