About the Role:

The Head Preschool I is responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role involves designing and implementing age-appropriate curricula that engage children in learning through play and exploration. The Head Preschool I will also oversee daily classroom activities, ensuring that each child receives personalized attention and support. Additionally, this position requires effective communication with parents and guardians to keep them informed about their child's progress and to address any concerns. Ultimately, the goal of the Head Preschool Teacher I  is to prepare children for their next educational steps while instilling a love for learning.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • REQUIRED EEC Lead Teacher Qualified.
  • At least 2 years of experience working in a preschool or early childhood setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with special needs children or inclusive education practices.
  • Familiarity with current early childhood education trends and best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum that meets the developmental needs of preschool-aged children.
  • Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff to ensure a cohesive teaching approach.
  • Conduct regular assessments of children's progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Communicate regularly with parents about their child's development and classroom activities.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that promotes learning and exploration.

Skills:

The required skills for this position include strong communication and interpersonal abilities, which are essential for interacting with children, parents, and staff. Organizational skills are crucial for planning lessons and managing classroom activities effectively. Leadership skills are necessary to guide and support assistant teachers, fostering a collaborative team environment. Creativity is important for developing engaging and innovative lesson plans that capture children's interest. Additionally, a solid understanding of child development principles will help the Preschool Lead tailor their approach to meet the diverse needs of each child.

Salary Information

$18.23 - $27.35 Hourly Wage
