Construction Superintendent
Elford is hiring an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead day-to-day field operations on commercial and industrial construction projects. This role is responsible for coordinating Elford crews and subcontractors, maintaining safety and quality standards, and driving project execution to meet schedule and performance expectations.If you’re a Superintendent who takes ownership of the jobsite, leads from the field, and knows how to keep work moving safely and efficiently, we want to hear from you.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and coordinate all on-site construction activities for Elford crews and subcontractorsServe as the primary field leader and point of contact for owners, subcontractors, inspectors, and project teamsEnforce Elford safety policies, OSHA standards, and regulatory requirementsConstruct projects in strict accordance with approved plans, specifications, and schedulesMaintain daily on-site presence to monitor productivity, quality, and safety performanceCoordinate labor, materials, equipment, inspections, testing, and permitsDrive work to meet or exceed construction schedules and milestonesSupport project documentation, billing coordination, and subcontractor scope reviewSupervise field staff, including foremen and on-site support personnelParticipate in weekly job meetings, scheduling discussions, and field operations meetings
Qualifications10+ years of construction industry experience5+ years in a Superintendent or Foreman leadership roleExperience in commercial and/or industrial constructionStrong understanding of construction sequencing, site logistics, and quality controlProven leadership, problem-solving, and communication skillsComfortable using construction technology and reporting toolsWillingness to travel as project needs requireEducation: Trade school, apprenticeship, or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience.Don’t Check Every Box?If you meet most of the qualifications and have a strong foundation in running jobsites, we still encourage you to apply.
