Position Description:
Position Responsibilities: Conducts and carries out portions of daily inspection of site work, building construction work, document discrepancies, code violations, improper materials, or technique in the application of materials, substandard or poor-quality workmanship, monitors schedules on various aspects of ongoing daily activities to identify and mitigate slippage and coordinate project phasing.

IAP Government Services Group is a National Construction Management firm with an immediate opening for a Site Safety Manager. IAPs successful project performance is driven by our objective to deliver quality projects that are completed on time and within budget while exceeding the expectations of our clients. The Quality Assurance/Control responsibilities is to effectively lead the construction team and ensure they have all the resources they need.
Reviews submittals and RFIs, maintains accurate and complete job files including as-built drawings and specification, identifies progress delays and recommends appropriate corrective measures to the Project Manager and/or Superintendent.
Conduct or attend weekly progress meetings to monitor project status, schedule, discuss problems, and resolve issues accordingly.
Review the testing/inspection reports submitted and approve/disapprove
Keep thorough records of all construction related matters.
Perform daily quality control reports.
Maintaining list(s) of observed defects and omissions.
Prepare punch lists and coordinate resolutions of punch list items.
Available to work after normal duty hours, on nights from 5pm to 7am and/or weekend as the project requires.
Must be able to communicate fluently in English.
Ensure installed work is consistent with the approved submittals to make recommendations for final approval of installed work.
Utilizing computerized management systems applications, processing request for information, maintaining an inventory of materials, supplies and equipment and monitoring the quantity of materials used.
Observe work being conducted by subcontractors for proper installation and application of construction materials.
Review samples of equipment and materials to be utilized for construction and provide analysis.
Maintain mark-ups set of project plans and specifications for future as-built drawings.
Compile deficiency logs and follow up on correction.
Coordinate inspections.
Coordinate testing and commission work.
Take digital photos of construction progress throughout the duration of the project.
Close out activities: warranty and O&M
Perform additional assignments per supervisors direction. Compile deficiency logs and follow up on correction.

5 years of construction safety experience, OR 3 years of safety experience with a safety-related degree or professional certification (e.g., CSP, CIH)
OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety training (within the past 5 years)
EM 385-1-1 (40-Hour) course completion (preferred)
First Aid/CPR certification (current)
Ability to prepare and manage:
- Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs)
- Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs)
- Site-specific safety plans
- Daily safety reports and inspections
Familiarity with USACE standards, RMS, and federal safety compliance
Excellent communication and organizational skills
