Our client, a prestigious Am Law 100 firm, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Counsel to join its Technology, Manufacturing & Transportation business unit.
This role is open to candidates based in Los Angeles, Oakland, or working remotely within California.
Salary range: $200,000 to $220,000 a year
About the Role:
The successful candidate will play a strategic role in managing complex, high-stakes asbestos litigation matters. This is a rare opportunity to join a nationally recognized firm with a collaborative culture, sophisticated clients, and meaningful work.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all phases of asbestos litigation, including case strategy, motion practice, depositions, and court appearances
Represent corporate clients in complex litigation across California
Coordinate with a high-performing litigation team on multi-jurisdictional matters
Provide strategic counsel and contribute to long-term client relationships
Qualifications:
10+ years of asbestos litigation experience, all from a defense standpoint
Proven expertise in motion practice, depositions, and courtroom advocacy
Active member of the California Bar and resident of California
Strong academic credentials (Top-tier law school preferred)
Experience from a top national law firm or similar setting
Highly professional, organized, and capable of managing multiple complex matters
No freelance, temporary, or plaintiff-side litigation backgrounds
Excellent judgment, strategic thinking, and written/oral communication skills
