- Maintains CDPH Lab Registration and CLIA certificates for all clinics
- Orients and trains personnel; ensuring ongoing competency.
- Adds new users to RALS System, prints barcodes for all employees. The barcodes are also used by Pyxis, Welch Allyn and other systems that may require user ID.

- Glucometer training occurs every other week and takes approximately 1 hour depending on the class size. Clinitek training takes about 30 minutes per group. Preparation for training requires 1-1.5 hours.
- Provides technical, scientific, and management oversight for POCT performed throughout the hospital to meet/exceed accreditation standards. This includes establishing test system performance characteristics, ensuring all areas are performing the testing accurately and according to guidelines, reviewing/evaluating QC sheets, resolving technical problems and ensuring that remedial/corrective actions are taken.
- Works with nursing, physicians, employees, and management as needed to ensure POCT is ran efficiently and effectively.
- Maintains and monitors comprehensive preventive maintenance records, quality control, quality assurance and as needed proficiency testing (PT) programs for clinics or departments that perform waived testing.

- New requests for POC Coagulation testing –clinics
- PT requires about an hour total for each hospital location and includes providing the testing materials, entering data and accepting data on the CAP PT website.
- Reviews RALS system for any flagged and/or critical results on a daily basis.
- Writes QRR for POC related issues.

- Maintains interface between LIS and POC device.
- Troubleshoots and maintains POC device
- This generally takes at least 30 minutes for each call. Complex problems may take several hours to resolve. These situations occur at least 2-3 times per week and sometimes multiple times per day given the number of locations where service is provided.
- Performs linearity on new glucometer device.
- Writes/reviews POCT policies and procedures.
- P&P take 30 minutes to an hour to write. Review with no changes would take 10-15 minutes.

$47.56 - $72.97
Hourly Wage
