About this position
Description:
The Maintenance Technician supports safe, efficient, and reliable production by performing preventive and corrective maintenance on powder coating and facility equipment. This role is hands-on and highly visible, requiring strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, a proactive mindset, and a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Requirements:Equipment & Production Support
- Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment including conveyors, ovens, spray systems, and material handling equipment.
- Diagnosing equipment issues using electrical testing devices, schematics, and manufacturer documentation.
- Repair, rebuild, install, modify, and relocate mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electromechanical systems.
- Perform welding, cutting, and fabrication as required.
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial equipment safely.
Preventive & Corrective Maintenance
- Execute preventive maintenance tasks per established schedules.
- Respond to corrective maintenance requests and unplanned breakdowns.
- Document work completed, repairs, and parts usage in the CMMS.
- Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements.
Facilities & Building Maintenance
- Maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, fire protection, and emergency lighting.
- Perform general facility maintenance including painting, drywall, floors, doors, signage, and roof leak investigation.
- Coordinate with contractors and suppliers as required.
Safety, Quality & Housekeeping
- Perform work in compliance with OSHA and company safety policies.
- Follow Winona Quality Policy and procedures.
- Maintain clean, safe work areas.
- Participate in on-call rotation and emergency response.
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years industrial maintenance experience
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read schematics and blueprints
- Basic computer skills
- Strong communication skills
Preferred
- 3–5 years industrial maintenance experience
- Technical or Trade School Training
- PLC and controls experience
- Powder coating or finishing experience
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly, 70 lbs. occasionally
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb throughout shift
- Ability to work in environments with varying and sometimes extreme temperatures, including hot and cold conditions associated with industrial equipment and seasonal weather
- Ability to work at heights
- Meet OSHA job-related testing requirement

Salary Information
$26.00 - $30.00
