Maintenance, Tier 1

This position is responsible for the maintenance of machinery and equipment, including CNC lathes and mills (Hurco’s, Mazak’s,etc),  Must be capable of diagnosing and performing mechanical repairs, preventative maintenance, scheduled safety checks and related functions with minimal direction.  This classification requires the use of hand tools, measuring devices, and various types of tooling, machinery and equipment to perform the assignments of this classification.    

Essential Job Functions: 

• CNC Machine diagnosis, mechanical and electrical
• Identify and order any parts needed for repairs
• Repair of manual lathes, mills, saws, etc…
• Preventative Maintenance of all equipment, building, and grounds
• Interpret blueprints and schematics in order to perform routine maintenance functions
• Select, operate, and maintain the tools and equipment used in this classification
• Operate forklifts, booms and scissor lifts 
• Conduct required safety and environmental checks.
• Interface with Machine Service Technician
• Other assignments throughout the plant as required by supervisor 

Education

• High School or equivalent
• Applicable math background and skills
• Knowledge of plant and industrial electrical maintenance
• Knowledge of state electrical code

Experience 

• 2 to 3 years training, background, and experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance

Mandatory Qualification Requirements

•  Must possess the personal tools necessary for proper performance of assignments 
• Must be skilled in the use of precision hand tools and measuring equipment
• Must have the ability to perform all functions as required by the job/position
• Must have physical attributes to perform the job function.
• Must have knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
