Position Overview
The Director of Operations will oversee daily operational activities across all construction projects. This role ensures project excellence, on-time and on-budget delivery, and strong team development. The Director works closely with executive leadership, project managers, superintendents, and field personnel to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage construction operations from pre-construction through completion.
- Develop and refine operational systems, processes, and best practices.
- Lead, coach, and mentor project managers, superintendents, and support staff.
- Ensure projects meet company goals, client expectations, budgets, and schedules.
- Monitor and report key performance metrics to executive leadership.
- Drive a strong, company-wide safety culture and ensure OSHA compliance.
- Utilize Procore for project management, documentation, scheduling, cost tracking, and communications.
- Collaborate with estimating, accounting, and procurement teams to optimize workflow.
- Manage subcontractors and vendors to ensure quality and timelines are met.
- Identify operational improvement opportunities and lead change initiatives.
- Support business development with proposals, presentations, and client engagement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- 7–10 years of experience in construction operations management or similar leadership roles.
- Demonstrated experience leading multi-million-dollar turnkey concrete projects.
- Procore proficiency required; strong command of project management and reporting tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Deep understanding of construction processes, building codes, budgets, and schedules.
- Strong financial acumen and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
