About this position
The supervisor is the active interface between management and the work force on the plant floor. Supervisors are result oriented, by scheduling workers, organizing and assigning tasks and measuring progress. Supervisors interact and communicate with others, coordinating activities and resources on the plant floor. Supervisors help ensure quality and safety for the product and employees. They work with minimum supervision. Supervisors can also train in all areas that they are supervising.
Requirements:
· Execute the manufacturing schedule based on customer specifications, requirements and delivery dates.
· Help control product quality through training.
· Provide performance feedback including competency logs and performance reviews.
· Provide needed tools and materials to workers.
· Issue discipline to employees when necessary.

· Operate forklift and/or spot for forklift driver. other written communications.

· Utilize handheld and power tools such as screwdrivers and hand-drills.
· Work with Quality department to ensure the product meets quality standards.
· Keep the work area safe, neat, and clean.
· Perform work in a safe and healthy manner; ensuring there are no deviations to standard work instructions that could lead to quality, productivity or safety problems.

· Identify and communicate ideas to team leaders that support improving the team’s performance and the elimination of waste
· Participate in process improvement activities.
· Display professional conduct with customers and coworkers.
· Attend training sessions as needed or required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A valid driver’s license
- Basic computer skills required
- Vocational education preferred
- Ability to read tape measures
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical drawings
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Basic math skills
PHYSICAL JOB DEMANDS
The physical demands of this job include, but are not limited to, standing for long periods, occasionally lifting up to 60 pounds, required to walk, sit, use hands, fingers, and arms, reach with hands and arms, climb ladders, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. The employee must also be able to see in close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Job requires a moderate to heavy level of physical effort and being elevated to heights exceeding thirty feet.
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
Safety requirements for an Assembler/Finisher include steel-toed boots, gloves (both general & cut), safety glasses, and harness.
