The Country Club of York (CCY) is seeking responsible, attentive, and team-oriented Lifeguards to support a safe and welcoming pool experience for our members and guests throughout the summer season.

This role is ideal for individuals who take pride in safety, remain calm under pressure, and communicate confidently while upholding a positive member experience.

Anticipated Start Date: These seasonal positions are expected to begin around May 22, 2026, weather and operational needs permitting.

What You’ll Do

• Actively monitor pool activity and supervise swimmers at all times
• Enforce pool rules and safety policies consistently and professionally
• Respond to emergencies and administer first aid as needed
• Perform daily pool opening and closing procedures
• Maintain cleanliness of pool deck, restrooms, and changing areas
• Inspect and maintain rescue equipment and first aid supplies
• Assist with pool games, clinics, and swim activities as directed
• Complete required documentation and reports
• Communicate incidents, concerns, or safety issues to leadership
• Perform other appropriate duties as assigned

Position Requirements

• Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification, including CPR and First Aid,      valid for the entire pool season
• Ability to swim laps, dive to the bottom of the pool, and perform rescues
• Ability to obtain required clearances and drug screening prior to hire
• Availability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays including Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day
