Position Overview
The Breakfast Attendant is responsible for preparing and maintaining the daily breakfast service, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for guests. This role requires early morning availability and involves interacting directly with hotel guests to provide a positive start to their day.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Set up and stock the breakfast buffet with food and beverage items
- Ensure all items are fresh, properly presented, and replenished as needed
- Greet guests and assist with any questions or special requests
- Maintain cleanliness of dining area, including tables, counters, and floors
- Monitor and empty trash receptacles during and after breakfast hours
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Clean and break down the breakfast area following the end of service
- Take inventory of items that need to be ordered
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced setting
- Dependable and punctual, with consistent early morning availability (starting around 6 AM)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift items up to 25 lbs
- Previous food service or hospitality experience preferred, but not required
