Production Planning Specialist

About this position

This role is responsible for overseeing daily factory administrative tasks, including TSR personnel management (time off requests, daily hours worked allocation) and critical SAP functions such as shipping, receiving, material movements, and NCR resolution. The Coordinator also handles production documentation creation; assembly package builds, and supports the Factory Manager with NCR resolution in relevant systems as well as ordering and inventory of shop consumables.

 Position Specific Accountabilities

List the main accountabilities of this position. Accountabilities may be grouped by category, e.g. Financial, People, etc.

  • TSR management of all factory personnel, including time off requests.  Will also coordinate directly with the temp agency for staffing needs.
  • Responsible for sap activities including shipping and receiving, ncr resolution, material movements, staging list creation, packing lists, and material sequencing.
  • Produce assembly build packages for production sub sub lots.
  • Assist in NCR (internal tracking system) resolution in SAP and GIMs and proper time tracking in TSR (internal system) in support of the factory manager.
  • Assist the factory manager in maintaining and ordering shop consumables in support of operations.
  • Responsible to be the point of contact and to coordinate trucking and loading plans between manufacturing and Site.
  • Responsible for special materials coordination between manufacturing and site.
  • Support monthly client billing compliance and submission.

Position Specific Requirements

Knowledge and/or Technical skills

Knowledge – Minimum required knowledge, certification and accreditations 

Technical Skills – Minimum required skills to apply knowledge (skills levels: Novice, Beginner, Competent, Proficient, Expert)

  • 3+ years of experience in a factory setting and/or related experience 
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite(excel, word, and power point)
  • Effectively communicate verbally and orally in English
  • Bi Lingual in English and Spanish preferred but not required 
  • Ability to confidently and accurately articulate information (Proficient)
  • SAP Role and transactions to support procurement(Competent)
  • PIM(Beginner)

  • 90% of work is performed indoors, but 10% will require going outdoors
