Precision Healthcare Specialists is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our growing Otolaryngology group. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, patient-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced specialty practice. This role supports providers by delivering high-quality clinical and administrative care to ensure an exceptional patient experience.


Key Responsibilities


Clinical Duties

  • Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints
     
  • Assist providers with ENT examinations, procedures, and minor in-office treatments
     
  • Prepare and clean exam rooms and ensure proper infection control standards
     
  • Perform ear cleanings, audiology prep, nasal endoscopy prep, allergy testing support, and other ENT-related tasks (training provided as needed)
     
  • Administer injections and medications as directed by the provider
     
  • Perform EKGs, venipuncture, and specimen collection when applicable
     
  • Ensure accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
     

Administrative Duties

  • Review and update patient charts prior to visits
     
  • Coordinate referrals, prior authorizations, and follow-up care
     
  • Assist with scheduling, patient callbacks, and care coordination as needed
     
  • Maintain accurate inventory of medical supplies and equipment
Requirements:

 

  • Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required
     
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
     
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant preferred (ENT or specialty experience a plus)
     
  • Strong knowledge of clinical workflows and medical terminology
     
  • Proficiency with EMR systems
     
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
     
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
     
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required
     

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the clinic during scheduled shifts
     
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
     
  • Manual dexterity to assist with clinical procedures
