Custodian

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Custodian to join our facilities management team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our staff and visitors. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to upholding high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas.
• Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are used properly and maintained in good condition.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
• Assist with setting up and breaking down event spaces or special functions as needed.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies need replenishing.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience in custodial or janitorial work preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good physical stamina and ability to perform manual tasks.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow safety guidelines.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.

• Open to working flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Previous experience in natural/organic foods, grocery or retail preferred.
