About this position
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for managing assigned regions and markets, supporting quoting and estimating activities, developing customer relationships, and achieving sales, margin, and growth objectives. This role partners with manufacturing to deliver profitable solutions that meet customer requirements. The position will be in the Southeast US. Applicants must reside in Georgia, West Tennessee, or the Carolinas.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve regional revenue goals.
- Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities within targeted markets.
- Manage and grow existing customer accounts by understanding their extrusion needs and recommending appropriate solutions.
- Provide technical support and product knowledge to customers regarding extrusion capabilities, materials, tolerances, design considerations, and secondary operations.
- Prepare sales presentations, proposals, and quotes in coordination with engineering and estimating teams.
- Track sales performance, market trends, and competitive activities within the region.
- Participate in trade shows, industry events, and customer visits (up to 50–70% travel, depending on region).
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and customer service teams to ensure customer satisfaction and on‑time project delivery.
- Maintain accurate CRM records including pipeline activity, customer interactions, and forecasting.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of B2B sales experience, ideally within extrusion manufacturing (plastic, aluminum, or rubber) or a related industrial sector.
- Must be able to travel 50% of the time.
- Strong understanding of extrusion processes, tooling, material selection, tolerances, and secondary operations.
- Proven ability to build and maintain long‑term customer relationships.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a multi-state territory.
- Prior sales of fabrication or fabrication experience helpful
