Summary:
As an Assembler I, you are responsible for the assembly of electronic components, subassemblies, and products according to established specifications and work instructions. Your attention to detail and adherence to quality standards directly support North Atlantic Industries’ ability to deliver high-reliability electronics for aerospace and defense applications.
Requirements:- Assemble electronic products and subassemblies using hand tools, soldering equipment, and fixtures.
- Follow detailed work instructions, assembly drawings, and travelers to ensure proper build and configuration.
- Perform mechanical assembly tasks such as hardware installation, cable routing, and connector placement.
- Operate basic production equipment as needed to support assembly activities.
- Visually inspect work for completeness, alignment, and quality in accordance with IPC standards.
- Accurately document work performed and report any discrepancies or issues to the team lead or supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation in compliance with 5S and ESD procedures.
- Support team goals for safety, quality, delivery, and productivity in a fast-paced environment.
- Work collaboratively with teammates and cross-functional staff to resolve issues and improve processes.
- Candidates must be a U.S. Person, defined as either a U.S. citizen or a lawful permanent resident (Green Card holder), and must be able to provide appropriate documentation upon hire to verify this status. Please note that some positions involve sensitive customer contracts and require U.S. citizenship as a condition of employment.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 0–2 years of experience in electronics assembly or a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English.
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for small component assembly.
- Basic understanding of ESD precautions and safe handling of electronic components.
Preferred Skills and Abilities
- Familiarity with IPC-A-610 workmanship standards.
- Prior experience assembling printed circuit boards (PCBs), cables, or electronic modules.
- Ability to use basic measurement tools such as calipers or micrometers.
- Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.
- Willingness to learn and grow within a team-oriented production environment.
