Position Summary

The Senior Project Manager – Drywall Division is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of production including labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and project coordination to ensure successful project delivery.

This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of drywall construction workflows and project financial management. The ideal candidate is highly organized, technically proficient, and capable of managing multiple projects while driving profitability and performance.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Management

  • Review, understand, and proactively manage contract terms, conditions, and project requirements.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the company, clients, subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, consultants, and internal teams.

  • Lead project coordination efforts to ensure alignment across all stakeholders.

Procurement & Scheduling

  • Ensure timely procurement of all labor, materials, equipment, and services.

  • Review and manage submittals, shop drawings, and samples to ensure compliance with contract requirements.

  • Track material fabrication and delivery to maintain schedule integrity.

Financial Management

  • Establish, maintain, and report on project budgets.

  • Prepare monthly forecasts and Cost-to-Complete reports.

  • Proactively manage project profitability and identify cost-saving or margin improvement opportunities.

  • Manage Schedule of Values and monthly payment applications to avoid underbilling.

  • Actively pursue timely resolution of change orders to support accurate and prompt billing.

  • Proactively manage receipt of progress payments.

Communication & Documentation

  • Represent the company at external project meetings.

  • Lead regular project team meetings.

  • Issue timely notices, change order documentation, and proposals in accordance with contract requirements.

  • Maintain accurate and organized project documentation.

Leadership & Culture

  • Promote and lead company safety initiatives.

  • Oversee quality control processes.

  • Mentor and develop team members.

  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients and industry partners.

  • Support business development and recruitment efforts through strong industry relationships.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of drywall project management experience

  • Experience with construction estimating software (On-Screen Takeoff / QuickBooks experience is a plus)

  • Strong ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Experience with project management software such as Procore and Autodesk Build

  • Must own a reliable vehicle for travel between office and project sites

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

  • Professional and ethical interaction with clients and stakeholders

  • Strong desire to grow capacity and drive measurable results

  • Spanish fluency is a plus
