Reports To: Sales Operations Engineer
Role Summary
The Senior Salesforce Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of our Salesforce platform, which serves as the core operational hub for our PEO services. This role focuses on building scalable automation, managing complex data integrations with our payroll and benefits systems, and ensuring the platform supports our Sales, Benefits, and Operations teams efficiently.
Primary Responsibilities
Custom Development: Develop high-quality, scalable code using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Visualforce to meet specific business requirements.
System Architecture: Design and implement complex flows and triggers to automate the PEO lifecycle, including client onboarding, benefits enrollment, and renewal processing.
Integration Management: Build and maintain secure integrations (REST/SOAP APIs) between Salesforce and external systems such as PrismHR, UKG, or proprietary data warehouses.
Platform Maintenance: Oversee the health of the Salesforce environment, including security settings, user permissions, and governor limit monitoring.
DevOps & Release Management: Manage the deployment process using CI/CD tools to ensure seamless updates from sandbox to production environments.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with department heads (Sales, Finance, and HR) to translate business needs into technical specifications and user stories.
Technical Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system architecture, custom code, and standard operating procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience: 5+ years of professional Salesforce development experience.
Technical Proficiency: Strong expertise in Apex, LWC, SOQL, and Salesforce Flow.
Certifications: Salesforce Platform Developer I (PDI) is required; PDII or System Architect certifications are highly preferred.
Industry Knowledge: Prior experience in PEO, Fintech, or Insurance Tech is a significant plus, specifically handling complex account hierarchies and financial data.
Tools: Experience with DevOps tools (e.g., Copado, Gearset, or GitHub Actions) and middleware (e.g., MuleSoft or Zapier).
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
This role is Hybrid working 3 days in the office.
Salary range based on experience up to $130K
