Wire Harness Braider

The Wire Harness Braider is responsible for operating braiding equipment to apply protective coverings to wire harnesses and cables according to engineering specifications and production requirements. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate wire braiding machines to apply shielding and protective coverings to wire harness assemblies
• Load wire harnesses, thread materials, and set up braiding equipment according to work instructions
• Monitor braiding process to ensure proper tension, coverage, and quality
• Inspect finished braided harnesses for defects, proper coverage, and compliance with specifications
• Perform basic machine setup, adjustments, and routine maintenance as required
• Identify and report equipment malfunctions, material issues, or quality concerns
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Basic mechanical aptitude
• Must be US Person
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Use of hands for repetitive motions, handling small components, and operating equipment
