As a Clinical Leader of Long-Term Care your exceptional ability to manage and guide staff, keen attention to detail, along with your demonstrated empathy for patients, makes you a valuable resource for the unit.

STATUS: Full-time

LOCATION: Park Ridge Living Center

DEPARTMENT: PRLC COTTAGE 1 NURSING

SCHEDULE: M-F, 7:00am-3:30pm, every 4 weekends.

ATTRIBUTES

  • Two (2) years of RN experience preferred
  • Experience with the geriatric population preferred
  • Compassionate, kind and patient focused
  • Demonstrated leadership and communication abilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Unit & Staff Management. Round on staff and physicians; resolve any issues or concerns found while rounding; complete rounding log and report to Nurse Manager; identify all high risk residents and ensure plan of care is current; ensure appropriate number of staff is available on unit at all times
  • Communication & Evaluation. Ensure staff is recognized for hard work and jobs well done; communicate any staffing needs to Nurse Manager; coach staff privately when needed

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associates degree in Nursing required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s of Nursing preferred.
  • 2 years RN experience preferred
  • For Long Term Care: experience with frail, elderly/geriatric population preferred

EDUCATION:

  • AS: Nursing (Required)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA)
  • RN - Registered Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED)

PAY RANGE: $42.18 - $55.43

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, clinical licensure date, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
