About this position
Scala Osteria is one of the busiest restaurants in lively downtown Napa and has been consistently met with rave reviews. Featuring a seafood-driven Southern Italian menu from Executive Chef Eric Zuniga, well-paired local and imported wines, as well as a craft cocktail program, the restaurant is seeking to add servers to our team. Full-time positions with a possibility for part-time are available; weekends and some holidays are a must. Pay is minimum wage ($16/hr) plus tips. Benefits include an employee discount at both Scala's and Bistro Don Giovanni and, for full time employees, one week annual vacation pay and a generous employer contribution towards provided health plans, long-term disability and life insurance. Additional voluntary benefits such as a 401k are available.
Ideal candidates will have relevant experience and are able to maintain a high level of service with a positive, professional attitude in a fast-paced, high volume restaurant. Extensive knowledge of wine and Italian food as well as experience in higher end restaurants are a plus. Candidates in general are expected to demonstrate a strong work ethic, work well as a team, and show an attention to detail. In order to be successful in this position, you should have great communication and multi-tasking skills, enjoy being around people, and work well in a lively and energetic atmosphere.
