Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Material Handler is responsible for making sure that

production lines have raw materials for operation of line, moving finished goods, operation of process equipment, and related

duties. They will maintain production records and ensures standard operating procedures are being

followed. They will be required to comply with all regulatory, safety and environmental requirements.


Responsibilities:

• Stage and de-stage materials, ensuring the correct of either chemicals or raw consumables

• Staging of materials being received direct from vendors

• Communicate to multiple department heads, production and warehouse staff

• Moving materials with forklift

• Put away received materials

• Conducts inventory analysis to anticipate and resolve potential inventory problems

• Help coordinate regular cycle counts and the annual full physical inventory count

• Work on special projects as directed

• Responsible for carrying out company policy and initiatives

• Generate appropriate paperwork for pallet tags

• Match pick ticket with order when staging production line in a timely and accurate manner

• Moving materials and pallets with forklift

• Will be required to follow safety and quality standards.

• Fill out Quality paperwork for shift

• Keeps work area clean and orderly. Remove trash

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required, Associate’s degree or higher a plus.

• Must have effective verbal and written English communication skills

• Able to work overtime as required

• Good hand eye coordination

• 1-3 years sit down forklift experience


Knowledge – Skills – Abilities

• Ability to work well under minimal supervision

• Attention to details, organization ability and ability to interact well with others.

• Must be able to pass forklift certification upon hire


Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in a chemical manufacturing plant environment.

• Ability to execute strenuous, sometimes repetitive physical work such as climbing, lifting

objects up to 50 lbs and pushing/ pulling objects.

• Ability to stand for long periods of time.

• Ability to sit for long periods of time.

• Able work in extreme temperatures
