Position Summary


The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans based on specifications provided by customers. The Drafter will utilize various software tools to produce accurate schematics and models, ensuring that all designs meet industry standards and project requirements.
 

Job Duties

  • Produces accurate CAD drawings that communicate to the customer or employees in a manner that eliminates the opportunity for error; produces drawings from verbal instructions and field data.
  • Ensures the soundness of the structural drawings including but not limited to concrete walls, covers, and bases.
  • Creates detailed drawings according to company’s plan standards.
  • Revises drawings in a timely manner per approved plan change requests.
  • Searches out ways of reducing construction costs and adding value.
  • Maintains an organized and efficient workspace.
  • Prepares all necessary reports and paperwork.
  • Maintains thorough knowledge of industry and developing technology.
  • Performs other CAD related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
  • Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing      priorities with enthusiasm
  • Acute attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and organize projects
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees
  • Proficient on SOLIDWORKS (CSWA Certification preferred) and/or AutoCAD.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
  • Creative, flexible, and innovative team player
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions. 

Physical Requirements

  • Continually required to sit
  • Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
  • Frequently required to talk or hear
  • Continually utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and/or use a keyboard Occasionally required to lift/push/carry items less than 25 pounds
  • Additional remarks regarding the work environment: Office setting connected to a manufacturing plant

 Pay & Benefits 

  • Pay range: $25.00 – $29.00/hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
