LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, PSYCHOLOGIST POSITION SUMMARY
The Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) is involved in working with all disciplines on the Behavioral Health Unit to attain effectiveness in serving the patient population in a correctional environment. The BHP provides direct, evidence-based mental-health care and delivers assessment, treatment, and crisis-intervention services that support individual well-being, institutional security, and successful re-entry.

LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, PSYCHOLOGIST MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Must be a Licensed, Master’s Level Behavioral Health Clinician who can assess and make treatment decisions, and provide Mental Health treatment
• Must hold one of the following licensures in the state of Florida- LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, or Licensed Psychologist; intern and provisional licensures also accepted

LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, PSYCHOLOGIST ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Performs individual and group therapeutic interventions as appropriate.
• Performs administrative consults for specialized social services as determined by the specific needs of the Institution.
• Performs specific psychiatric social service work on the Behavioral Health Unit of a Correctional Facility.
• Assists in planning and implementing the goals and objectives of programs and projects. May direct special projects as requested.
• Participates in and conducts in-service programs, as well as assists in the orientation of new staff and provides the necessary preparation of documentation, necessary records and reports.
• Attends training and meetings as required.
