Groomer

At Pet Wants Mira Mesa, we treat pets like family. Our store specializes in fresh, natural pet food and premium treats and supplies, and we’re thrilled to be opening a brand-new grooming salon! We’re looking for our first groomer—someone who is not only technically skilled but also shares our passion for high-quality, compassionate pet care.

 Responsibilities:

• Provide professional grooming services (bathing, cuts, styling, nail trimming, de-shedding, etc.) with a pet-first focus on safety and comfort.
• Communicate clearly with pet parents, explaining grooming options and setting expectations.
• Spot and share observations about skin, coat, or health issues with owners.
• Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized grooming environment.
• Help connect grooming clients with our premium foods and supplies.
• Represent our brand at local events and build lasting customer relationships.

Qualifications:

• 1–2+ years of hands-on grooming experience (salon, vet clinic, or mobile).
• Strong knowledge of breed-specific cuts, grooming tools, and safe handling practices.
• Gentle, patient approach with animals of all sizes and temperaments.
• Excellent customer service skills – you enjoy building trust with pet parents.
• Dependable, punctual, and professional.
• Excited to help launch and grow a new grooming business.
