POSITION SUMMARY
The Healing Place (THP) is a nationally recognized nonprofit recovery program providing hope, healing, and long-term support for individuals experiencing substance use and co-occurring behavioral health needs. Clinician Level 1 is an entry-level role designed for individuals beginning their clinical career. This position focuses on building foundational skills in assessment, group facilitation, and documentation while working under clinical supervision.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Direct Clinical Services
- Provide individual and group support services under supervision
- Assist in facilitating psychoeducational and structured groups
- Support intake, assessments, and treatment planning
- Observe and apply evidence-based practices (e.g., Motivational Interviewing, trauma-informed care)
- Identify and escalate client needs or concerns appropriately
Clinical Development & Supervision
- Participate in regular supervision in alignment with licensure requirements
- Demonstrate openness to feedback and professional growth
- Build foundational clinical judgment and ethical decision-making skills
Clinical Collaboration
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
- Collaborate with peer-driven program staff to support integrated care
- Communicate client updates clearly and professionally
Documentation & Compliance
- Complete documentation within required timeframes with support
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all regulatory standards
- Develop proficiency in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
Professional Development
- Work toward certification or licensure (e.g., CADC or equivalent)
- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities
REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, Counseling, or related field
- Working toward or eligible for CADC (or equivalent)
- Interest in substance use and behavioral health treatment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to learn, apply feedback, and grow professionally
- Basic proficiency with documentation and computer systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced residential environment
- Respect for diverse backgrounds and recovery journeys
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment at The Healing Place reflects a fast-paced residential recovery setting. Clinicians may work with individuals experiencing substance use, trauma, withdrawal, and co-occurring behavioral health needs. The role requires emotional resilience, professional boundaries, and sound judgment. Collaboration, communication, and flexibility are essential. WHAT WE OFFER
- Salary Range: $40,000 – $48,000 annually
Actual compensation is determined based on relevant experience, education, licensure progress, specialized skills, and internal equity. - Opportunities for growth and advancement as clinicians progress in experience and licensure
