Schedule: Monday through Saturday, (approximately) 5 am to 2 pm during the summer months

Season: (November through May) 4 am to 2 pm during

Salary: Pay for this job is based on experience and is negotiable. Hours are plentiful, and overtime is readily available in season.

Bush Brothers is a fifth-generation family-run meat purveyor based in West Palm Beach, FL. Established in 1925, we pride ourselves on best-in-class service and a high-end protein portfolio. As a USDA-inspected processing plant, we specialize in center-of-the-plate and portion-controlled offerings to meet the demands of Floridas high-end Hotel, Restaurant, and Country Club clientele. We process and distribute Beef, Veal, Lamb, Pork, Poultry, and Provisions throughout South and Central Florida as well as into the Caribbean.

Key accountabilities of Foodservice Meat Cutter / Butcher
Fabricating high-quality portion-controlled meats for the foodservice industry. Cutting steaks, trimming sub-primals, and filling special fabrication orders.

Specific Duties
  • Fabricating steaks, roasts, and chops up to the company and industry standards.
  • Following daily instructions for stock production, as well as special orders and custom cuts.
  • Participates in daily setup/sanitation of processing spaces.
  • Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with health, sanitation, and legal regulations.
Qualifications
  • Some experience is preferred, preferably in the foodservice processing business, but retail butchery or culinary experience may suffice.
  • On-the-job training is available if full experience is lacking. We are willing to train employees who are hard-working with less experience.
  • Prompt, daily attendance, combined with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to lift boxes to 80lbs.
  • Military experience is a plus.
