About this position
GiaCare Inc. is accepting applications for experienced, civilian Registered Nurses (RN) to work alongside the federal government within the Internal Medicine Clinic, at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (Bethesda, MD).
Qualifications
Education: Associate’s Degree in Nursing or Bachelor’s in Nursing.
Certifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- National certification in Ambulatory Care Nursing
Experience: A minimum of 3 years full – time nursing experience. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the last 3 calendar years.
Duties:
- Provides comprehensive professional nursing care for TRICARE Prime enrolled beneficiaries, as well as TRICARE for Life and space available beneficiaries presenting with routine and complex, interdependent acute and chronic conditions.
- Will provide nursing assistance in the full spectrum management of professional and patient care activities within their scope of practice.
- Assesses, screens, and/or triages patients via telephone or in-person as directed. Requires expert, skillful, rapid assessment and triage competencies of patient problem(s) and needs both in clinic and over the telephone.
- Administers oral, topical, optic, ophthalmic, rectal, vaginal, IM, SQ and IV medications after validation of provider order.
