Position Description: The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for the processing of invoices ensuring accurate and
timely entry. This position will report to the Accounts Payable Manager.
Principal Responsibilities: - Review purchase orders, statements, and invoices submitted and ensure policies are being followed such as property work order numbers and correct coding of all invoices - Records and processes payments for vendor invoices in accordance with internal accounting policies and oversees payment schedules - Maintains and reconciles accounts payable ledger to validate charges and ensure accurate and timely payments - Organize, prepare and scan invoices to be entered into property management software - Download invoices from vendor website - Update W9 and COI as they come in - Responds to vendor inquiries and assists with the research of any discrepancies in billings and payments - Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable - Assemble and process checks for mailing - Oversee the billing email inbox - Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent, college preferred or previous accounts payable relevant experience - Experience using Entrata or Yardi property management software preferred, but not required - Experience using AvidXchange preferred, but not required - Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Excel
