GI Alliance is seeking an experienced Clinical Supervisor.


Duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:



Position purpose

Responsible for rendering professional care to patients within the medical practice in support of the physician and as directed by the physician. This role will predominately assist with the infusion functions but will also provide coverage and support for all operations as needed.


Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:
  • Assisting with the onboarding of new clinical service lines for the practice.
  • Have proficiency on Capsule Endos, nurse teachings, etc.
  • Oversee the ordering and inventory management for bio drugs for all locations. Ensure that all offices are in compliance in regard to infusion supplies.
  • Scheduling of infusion services
  • Oversee bio patients to ensure top patient care, as they’re being seen by providers.
  • Assist in training new Infusion RNs
  • Available for infusion nursing coverage as needed
  • Assist Director of Operations in annual performance appraisals and evaluation of staff.
  • Liaison for providers in regards to higher level clinical patients
  • Ensure compliance with all aspects of the GIA Infusion Program.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Provides continuity of individual care by interview, assessment and review of chart.
  • Obtains B/P and weight and escorts patient to exam room.
  • Assists physicians as required. Educates patients on tests and procedures.
  • Keeps exam rooms clean, neat and well stocked. Maintains standards to provide safe, clean and orderly environment.
  • Schedules x-rays, procedures, lab tests and hospital admissions.
  • Maintains charts in proper order and checks to ensure sure clinical and diagnostic documentation are in the chart.
  • Instructs patients on special diets and preparation for complex procedures.
  • Responds to phone calls from patients and hospitals, discusses with physician and returns call, documents all conversations on chart.
  • Relieves other nurses as assigned.
  • Keeps nurses station neat and clean.
  • Anticipates and maintains adequate inventory of supplies.
  • Keeps knowledge and skills current through continuing education.
  • Assist others when work is completed.
  • Screens new patient calls when necessary to establish triage urgency.
  • Obtains insurance pre-certification when required.
  • Performs venipuncture and completes appropriate requisitions for lab work.
  • Functions within the legal scope of nursing practice and licensure.
  • Adheres to established policies and procedures.
  • Reports errors of commission/omission.
  • Refrains from breaching confidential information.
  • Ensure HIPAA/OSHA compliance.

    Qualifications
    Education: Nursing degree from an accredited institution. Active RN license is required.


    Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of clinical experience. Infusion experience required. Experience with H Pylori Breath Tests and Fibro Scans.

  • Ability to competently use Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and appropriate practice management software.


  • Equipment Operated: Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.


    Work Environment: Position is in a well-lighted medical office environment. Occasional evening and weekend work.


    Physical Requirements: Must possess the physical and mental abilities to perform tasks such as sitting for 90 percent of the day; manual dexterity to operate office machines including computer and calculator; stooping, bending to handle files and supplies; and mobility to complete errands or deliveries. Stress can be triggered by multiple staff demands and deadlines.
