Occupational Therapist
SUMMARY: Participates as a member of a comprehensive evaluation team to develop, monitor and review Individual Habilitation Plans by performing the following duties.
Qualifications
You must have a strong passion for working with Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities and display compassion and empathy with the ability to focus on quality of care.
- High School Diploma or GED / 18 years or older
- Valid Driver's License, good driving record and Auto Insurance
- Pass criminal background, drug screen and physical & able to lift 60 lbs.
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational therapy
- Licensed Occupational Therapist in the State of Ohio
- Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Job Details
Responsibilities include the following:
- Provides OT evaluation or updates at annual IP/ISP, quarterly review and OT referrals as scheduled.
- Consults with and provides in-service training for the staff of Sunshine Inc. of Northwest Ohio.
- Provides clinical supervision of the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants.
- Provides direct OT treatment to residents.
- Supervises and monitors OT related programs.
- Provides Occupational Therapy services and clinical supervision of COTA's at contracted sites.
- Assist in evaluation and fabrication of adaptive equipment and adapted seating.
- Ensures the delivery of appropriate, adequate and timely OT services to Sunshine Communities Ohio residents
- Ensures that individual OT staff receives training in and follow all Medicaid and Licensure regulations related to providing services to residents, documentation of services and monitoring of programs carried out by care staff.
- Attends Therapy Department and Clinical Services staff meetings as scheduled.
