Imaging Registrar I (FT)

Job Description: Performs a variety of receptionist, clerical and organizing support services for the department. Pre-registers and registers patients, gathering all relevant insurance and medical information. Maintains files and is responsible for disseminating radiological reports to appropriate parties. Maintains confidentiality in all areas of responsibility.   

 

Qualifications:

• High school graduate.
• Proficient in use of keyboard and word processing software. 
• Ability to operate standard office machines including fax, copiers, telephone, etc.     

Preferred: Previous medical insurance experience and knowledge of medical terminology

Experience No previous experience required.  Previous medical insurance experience and knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.   Given training and on-the-job experience, incumbent should be proficient in the basic aspects of the job within 3 months.
