Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized, motivated Office Assistant who is interested in growing into a Project Management role within our company. This is not just an administrative position — it is a career-track opportunity for someone who wants to learn the electrical construction industry from the inside and develop into a leadership role.

The ideal candidate is professional, confident in communication, extremely strong with email and computer systems, and eager to take ownership of tasks. Electrical or construction experience is a plus, but a strong work ethic and desire to grow are most important.


Key Responsibilities

Administrative & Office Support

  • Manage high volumes of professional email communication
     
  • Assist with scheduling projects, inspections, and service calls
     
  • Prepare and organize project documentation (contracts, permits, submittals, closeout documents)
     
  • Maintain digital job folders and ensure documentation accuracy
     
  • Enter and track data in Excel spreadsheets
     
  • Assist with invoice preparation and customer communication
     

Project Coordination (Training Into PM Role)

  • Support Project Managers with scheduling and job tracking
     
  • Track material orders and delivery dates
     
  • Coordinate with field crews and vendors
     
  • Assist with permit applications and utility paperwork
     
  • Help monitor job budgets, hours, and timelines
     
  • Participate in internal project meetings
Requirements:

 

Required:

  • Strong computer proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel required)
     
  • Excellent professional email communication skills
     
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
     
  • Comfortable speaking with customers, vendors, and field teams
     
  • Confident personality — not shy, able to take initiative
     
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
     

Preferred (but not required):

  • Electrical or construction industry experience
     
  • Understanding of project scheduling
     
  • Experience with Microsoft Project or similar software
     
  • Familiarity with permit processes or commercial job documentation
