About this position
Summary (Position Description): The Maintenance Technician will report to the Facilities & Maintenance Manager and will be responsible for the upkeep of the facility and the equipment associated with the Bitzer US Organization.

Status: Full time, Hourly position
Duties & Tasks:
· Efficiently able to balance the various demands of preventative maintenance and emergency equipment repairs along with various nonproduction related tasks that is needed with no interruption to production.
· Recognize and identify issues before problems and failures occur, combined with good troubleshooting skills (Mechanical / Electrical intuition).
· Ability to operate both sit down and stand-up forklifts, manlifts, or other industrial equipment when needed to assist with duties.
· Must be able to use small hand tools, power tools, and other similar maintenance equipment. Welding and machine shop skills are a strong benefit.
· This role will need to be self-motivated to work independently and within a group to identify, resolve, document and report activities and associated solutions.
· The individual must have an organized behavior and mindset, while demonstrating reliable work habits and highest levels of integrity.
· Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
· Communicate successfully with coworkers.
· Follow all PPE guidelines regarding plant safety.
· Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):
· Robot weld repair/maintenance experience is required.
· Hypertherm plasma repair/maintenace experience is required
· Leadership experience or knowledge is a plus.
· Electrical experience is a plus
· VFD and PLC experience is a plus
· Perform highly complex installations and repairs in functional area.
· Assist with the coordination and oversight of the work of outside contractors.
· Carry out corrective, preventive, predictive, and emergency maintenance on electrical systems, including motor control centers, transformers, motors, batteries, inverters, chargers, and variable speed drives.
· Promote a strong safety culture by identifying hazards, applying safe work practices, and ensuring proper handling of hazardous materials in accordance with environmental and safety regulations.
· Drive maintenance excellence through innovation, documentation, standardization, and safety practices
· Coordinate contractors and vendors during outages and maintenance projects to ensure technical accuracy, schedule adherence, and safety compliance.
Requirements:
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· HVAC technical skills or knowledge a plus
· Good mechanical/electrical intuition
· Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact well with people.
· Ability to maintain numerous activities personally and within team in a fast-paced environment,
while meeting deadlines with frequent interruptions
· Ability to function as a team player within a diverse group and the capacity to work independently-
under minimal supervision.
· The ability to work overtime and weekends is required.
· Lift up to 50 lbs. Including moving parts/boxes from floor, shelves, pallets, and carts.
· Ability to effectively move around on your feet for up to 100% of the designated shift time.
· Un-restricted mobility includes twisting, pulling, bending over, reaching, walking, standing, hand movement, lifting of trash.

Education and Experience:
· Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent
· OSHA Safety Training for Industrial equipment and operations
· Weld Process experience in a production environment is strong benefit.
· Experience in commercial or industrial refrigerant equipment is a plus
Work Environment:
· This job is performed in a manufacturing environment.
Physical Demands:
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen. The employee frequently is
required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, use hands; and reach with hands and arms. May be required to lift up to 25 pounds.
