Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Litigation Paralegal to join our Diminished Value team. This role involves providing support in managing client updates, and maintaining case documentation. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of insurance processes, some automotive knowledge, and proficiency in utilizing technology to effectively document and manage case files.

Key Responsibilities:

• Case Management: Organizing and maintaining case files, updating records, and managing correspondence. 
• Document Preparation: Drafting and reviewing legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, motions, and exhibits. 
• Legal Research: Conducting research on relevant case law, statutes, and regulations. 
• Client Communication: Communicating with clients, witnesses, experts, and opposing counsel. 
• Trial Preparation: Assisting with trial preparation, including creating exhibits, organizing evidence, and managing trial logistics. 
• Discovery Support: Assisting with all stages of discovery, including preparing written discovery requests and responses, document collection, and managing document databases. 
• Scheduling: Coordinating and scheduling depositions, court appearances, and meetings. 
• Filing: Preparing and filing court documents, ensuring compliance with court rules and deadlines. 

Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong organizational and communication skills 
• Proficiency in legal software and document management systems such as Aderant Total Office
• Understanding of legal terminology and procedures 
• Knowledge of the litigation process and court rules 
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks 
• Experience in a law firm or legal setting 
• Certification as a paralegal is preferred
