Line Lead I

This position serves as a strong support resource to the department supervisor to ensure the safe and efficient operations of the Bulk Pack and Bulk Ground Departments. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

• Ensures daily that the line is set up and ready to start on time (pre-op)
• Calibrates thermometers 
• Gets supplies 
• Is responsible for compiling, copying, and distributing paperwork. 
• Performs SSOP and GMP checks 
• Ensures that orders are filled in a timely and accurate manner 
• Maintains time and attendance records in the supervisor’s absence 
• Works on the line and/or drives jack as needed 
• Assists line supervisor with any duties as needed 
• Metal detector checks, tare weight checks, temperature checks for fresh orders, AQL on skin product, and rotation
• Maintains all BRC paperwork 
• Must work closely with USDA
• Other duties as assigned- this is a part of a raw poultry production job rotation cycle.
• Commit to enhance the reputation of our products and maintain consumer confidence in our products through the development and implementation of written safety, legal, and quality food safety systems, programs, and practices.
• Must be able to work without close supervision 
• Must maintain an excellent attendance record
• Must follow all safety procedures and requirements 
• Must obtain HACCP certification, SOP training, and GMP training 
• Must obtain jack driver/forklift operator license 
• Must have strong organizational skills 
• Must have strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills

Education, Training, Certifications: 

• High school diploma or GED preferred 
• HACCP certification 
• SOP training 
• GMP training 
• Jack driver/forklift operator license

Experience 

1 year recommended
