Pay Rate: $22–$24 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Wednesday–Sunday evenings starting at 6PM; Saturday & Sunday lunch starting at 12PM (hours may vary)

Paradise Pizza is a wood-fired pizzeria concept originally born out of the iconic Palm Heights resort in Grand Cayman. Known for its fresh, high-hydration dough, thoughtful sourcing, and Neapolitan-inspired style, Paradise Pizza brings a playful, elevated approach to pizza that celebrates simplicity, quality, and bold flavor. Now open at 154 Scott in Brooklyn, the concept continues to expand as part of a broader hospitality and events-driven campus curated by SAA (Scott Avenue Associates).

Position Overview

We’re seeking a passionate and experienced Pizza Cook / Pizzaiolo to join the opening team at Paradise Pizza at 154 Scott. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in pizza dough preparation, wood-fired oven operation, and line cooking in high-volume, quality-driven kitchens.

You’ll work alongside a collaborative culinary team to ensure consistency, speed, and excellence in execution—all while bringing the spirit and standards of our Cayman location to life here in Brooklyn.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, portion, and hand-stretch dough to house specifications (including high-hydration dough)

  • Operate and maintain wood-fired pizza ovens with precision and care

  • Execute pizzas and other menu items consistently to brand standards during service

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient prep and cooking station

  • Monitor product freshness and inventory levels; assist with ordering and receiving

  • Collaborate closely with the culinary and FOH team to ensure seamless service

  • Uphold all NYC Department of Health and food safety regulations

  • Assist with setup and breakdown of the kitchen during opening and closing shifts

  • Participate in prep and mise en place as needed for service readiness

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience working with pizza ovens, dough prep, or similar line cook work

  • Hands-on experience with Neapolitan or wood-fired pizza preferred

  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and kitchen cleanliness

  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled

  • Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn

  • Food Handler’s Certification a plus (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
