We believe in creating a supportive and welcoming environment for both our clients and our team. We are currently seeking an organized Billing Coordinator to join our practice. This role will be crucial in ensuring accuracy and timeliness in invoicing and account reconciliation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Submit claims to insurance companies for provided services.
  • Follow up on submitted claims, address any denials, and ensure timely payment.
  • Communicate with patients regarding billing procedures, payment options, and outstanding balances.
  • Track revenue, manage accounts receivable, and generate financial reports.
  • Ensure accurate coding of services according to CPT and ICD-10 guidelines.
  • Utilize electronic health records (EHR) for billing and record-keeping.
  • Verify patient insurance benefits to confirm coverage for mental health services.
  • Assist with provider credentialing with insurance companies.
  • Accurately enter and maintain patient information and claim data in billing systems.
  • Post client and insurance payments to patient accounts.
  • Generate reports for revenue analysis and performance tracking.
  • Comply with policies and guidelines set forth by the insurance companies.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma, required. Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, preferred.
  • Minimum 1-year experience handling billing processes in a medical office environment, preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of spotting and correcting errors quickly.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with clients with a customer-service mindset.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with keen attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency with billing software, excel, basic math, reporting, tracking systems and computing.

Pay:
$18 hour

Expected hours:
Up to 15 hours per week
