About this position
We are seeking a high-performing, results-driven General Sales Manager (GSM) to lead our sales department and team, drive profitability, and develop a strong, Guest-focused Sales Team. The GSM will oversee all new and pre-owned vehicle sales, desking, inventory strategy, and sales process execution.

This position requires:
- Maintain a high-performance culture focused on accountability and Guest experience
- Ensure the Sales Department is consistently providing high levels of Guest/Customer service
- Desk deals and structure transactions to earn a fair gross profit
- Monitor and drive key performance indicators (KPIs) including:
- Front-end and back-end gross
- Volume and market share
- Inventory turn
- Closing ratios
- Guest satisfaction scores
- Develop and execute monthly marketing strategies
- Manage new and used inventory acquisition and vehicle pricing strategy
- Work closely with Finance and Service departments to effectively and profitably sell vehicles
- Ensure compliance with all manufacturer programs and policies
- Ensuring sales processes are followed by all Team Members
- Verify all incoming leads are followed up within company expectations
- Assist the Sales Team with closing car deals
- Work directly with our Team Members and Guests to develop and maintain relationships
- Lead, train, and mentor Sales Managers and Sales Consultants
- Continuous training with the Sales consultants during Sales Training Meetings and one-on-one trainings for the continued growth of our Team Members

Qualifications:
- 5+ years of automotive sales management experience (GSM or high-performing Sales Manager)
- Strong desking and deal structuring skills
- Proven track record of hitting volume and gross targets
- Experience with CRM systems and dealership management software
- Exceptional Leadership, coaching, and communication skills
- Strong inventory management and digital retail knowledge
The workdays for this position are Monday through Saturday, with a day off during the week. Our facilities are always closed on Sunday.
This position is paid on a commission/incentive-based Pay Plan. $48-$100k++/year (commission based). The compensation is comprised of a Base Draw and incentives for key metrics of Guest Service, gross profit, and unit volume. There is no limit or cap on the incentive amounts!
