Sisters Saloon & Ranch Grill is now seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager.
Job description:
-Responsible for leading the communication on a busy line with up to 3 other line cooks on at the same time.
-Responsible for ensuring other kitchen staff are completing daily side-work and closing duties.
-Assist in the development of other kitchen staff to ensure consistent and excellent product to our guests.
-Assist in implementing orientation and training new BOH hires in all aspects of their positions. -Assist in the cross training of all BOH staff in the different stations to ensure established food-prep and plating standards are met and maintained.
-Food ordering
-Complete checklists everyday and ensure staff are completing their checklists
-Order food/kitchen products
-Check-in food deliveries for accuracy and quality
-Update systems, including Prep List, staff checklists, Order Guide, etc.
-Weekly inventory
-Advanced vegetable prep to include peeling, slicing, dicing, and portioning
-Advanced sauce prep to include stocks, salad dressings, vinaigrettes, emulsifications
-General cleaning to include equipment, floors, walls, coolers, and freezers
-Line cooking - One shift/week, work with and supervising line cooks
-Execute banquet prep and presentation.
-Follow sanitary compliance throughout every area working in the kitchen
-Follow all safety procedures to include knife safety
-Maintain the kitchen work area in an orderly and clean condition
-Stock supplies for the kitchen in specified locations and maintain area in order
-Maintain a professional presentable uniform and personal grooming-Cut staff appropriately to maintain low labor cost, while ensuring all prep and cleaning gets done

Located in the newly remodeled, 107-year-old iconic Hotel Sisters, Sisters Saloon & Ranch Grill is a must-see destination for the thousands of tourists that visit Sisters each year.
We serve fresh American food, including quality steaks, fish, all-natural grass-fed burgers from steers raised 2 miles away, locally sourced produce as well as vegetarian and gluten-free dishes.
Applicant cues:
-At least three years of line cook experience with some leadership experience
-Apt to have fun and smile, even during a busy rush
-Ability to understand and communicate kitchen orders
-Ability to get teammates to work efficiently and effectively
-Ability to perform all functions in the kitchen and assist where needed
-Ability to stay positive under pressure
-Ability to work as a team in a fast-paced environment
-Can expertly temp steaks
-Can portion steaks at accurate weights from primals
-Knowledge of different cooking recipes and all kitchen equipment
-Attention to the essential details of plating excellent food
-Diplomacy to correct your teammates while respecting them
-Absolutely dependable
-Contributes to a loyal, family culture
-Able to effectively communicate with the team on a daily basis
