Description:
What you’ll do:
- Enter and update parts info in our system — part numbers, descriptions, prices, fitment, manufacturer info, and units.
- Keep part records current (cross-references, supersessions, alternate numbers).
- Load vendor product lists, price changes, and tech updates into the database.
- Update stock levels after counts and help reconcile inventory differences.
- Research and fix data issues using vendor catalogs, OEM docs, and online resources.
- Support sales and order entry by looking up parts and checking availability.
- Follow our data-entry rules and do regular checks to keep data accurate.
- Pull basic reports (inventory, pricing, missing info) for the team.
Who we’re looking for:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Extra coursework in auto tech, inventory, or data is a plus.
- Around 1 year of data entry or inventory experience — automotive parts/catalog experience is a bonus.
- A basic understanding of part numbers and fitment is helpful.
Skills that help:
- Detail-oriented and good at repetitive tasks.
- Comfortable typing (aim for about 45+ WPM).
- Solid Excel skills (VLOOKUP, filters) and quick to learn new systems.
- Good at researching and solving minor data problems.
- Clear communicator and a team player.
- Can manage time well in a busy environment.
Work environment:
- Office or next to the warehouse. You may occasionally move light boxes/samples.
- Full-time day shift, with possible overtime during big inventory or catalog updates.
Reports to:
- Inventory Manager, Parts Manager, or Data Lead
