Agape Treatment Center, A top workplace three years running, is currently seeking a Full-Time Medical Office Coordinator for our facility in Wilton Manors, FL!

 

The Medical Office Coordinator is responsible for performing a wide variety of patient care activities as directed by the Director of Nursing. He/she will provide direct and indirect support to the medical team to ensure safe, compassionate, and efficient delivery of services. This role supports patient care, clinical operations, and program coordination while upholding the organizations mission of delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.



Specific Areas of Responsibility:

  • Support nursing supervisor, nursing team and staff with day-to-day operations

  • Manage patient medication refills

  • Coordinate with medical team and patients for medical follow ups

  • Assist with the upkeep of the medical provider, toxicology, and bloodwork lab lists

  • Communicate with pharmacies regarding medication refills and related issues

  • Communicate with patients, family and staff regarding patient care

  • Assist nursing team as needed with medical intake of new admissions

  • Collect medication copays/deposits and process payment from patients and financial support

  • Complete weekly inventory of medical supplies

  • Assist in maintaining medical notes and records

  • Provide general clerical and medical support to ensure smooth department operations

  • Coordinate with outside contractors as needed

  • Perform data entry and processing

  • Perform general office duties and assist with entire medical team

  • Assist with organization of daily medical operations

  • Ensure a safe work environment for self and others

  • Communicate with supervisor and others in a professional and compassionate manner 

  • Adhere to HIPAA, safety, and regulatory standards at all times

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • A minimum of High School Diploma required
  • Certified Medical Assistant and/or Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred
  • A minimum of 2-4 years of administrative experience in a medical office environment preferred
